50 minute class
A fun and energising Pilates class designed to be adaptable, improve strength, mobility and body awareness following APPI principles. Each week has a key focus using different pieces of small equipment to add challenges and interest. Our classes are 50 minutes with a warm up, body of class and then a cool down or relaxation section. You will get to use resistance bands, balance balls, balance pads, magic circles, weighted balls, foam rollers and massage balls throughout the block enhancing the total body strengthening experience. Correct movement patterning, posture and alignment while moving comes first, from then the challenges and progressions are endless. It’s strength and movement the Extend way.
Extend Power
Intermediate to advanced
50 minute class
Taking pilates to the next level we add high intensity, cardio and circuit training into our normal pilates style exercises. The class is challenging but still focuses on posture, alignment, core control and activation to allow for educated, safe and effective SMART exercise, fine tuning and improving your strength and mobility. You must have completed at least one full Extend Everyday block prior to attending a power class.
Extend Express
All abilities
40 minute fusion class
This is our new early morning or lunchtime express class with everything you need for a good workout in a shorter amount of time.
We combine principles from our everyday and power classes with a quick fire warm up and mobility section, diving straight into strengthening and finishing off every class with time to slow down and be mindful. Setting you off to start or continue your day with energy, purpose and a sense of well being and achievement.
Extend Mummies
6 weeks – 18 months post baby
45 minute class
Safe and guided mums and bubs class aimed and improving posture, core/pelvic awareness and control, strength and energy. A great way to begin exercising again with bubs near by gradually gaining independence and enjoying the company of other mums in the same boat. You can begin pilates any time following your 6 week check up and clearance from your doctor or midwife. We will take you through a comprehensive program bringing your body back to life and giving you the strength to help manage the demands of life with bubs.
Bring anything your baby/toddler might need/want in class: capsule, bouncer, toys, mat/blanket, food, white noise, grandparent, we provide all the equipment for you.
Maximum of 8 mummies.
Extend Preggies
Pregnant women 12 weeks - full term
45 minute class
This will be a small group class with a maximum of 6 preggies to maximise effectiveness.
A pilates based class preparing your body for a healthy happy pregnancy, labour, birth and beyond. Safe and supportive, we focus on strength, stability, breathing, pelvic awareness and relaxation. You need to have had your 12 week scan and clearance from your midwife or Obstetrician prior to attendance. There will be a consent form to fill out and you will be monitored throughout this pregnancy pilates class.
Each class will comprise of a warm up, cardio or strength based exercises on alternate weeks, pelvic floor activation, breathing and mobility exercises and relaxation.
Power Mums
50 minute class (with or without bubs)
We will still have a nanny present for you to bring your little one but if you are able to attend without bubs let us know and you can pay the regular class fee.
